On October 2nd, Indonesian people celebrate the Batik Day, wearing colourful batik in our daily activities, to strengthen our commitment to our cultural heritage and creative economy driver. Here we are, the Synergy team of Telkom Indonesia.
We should declare another day for Tenun Day, one day.
The 1st day of Q4/2024, my small team had a lunch meeting to explore the situation of the Q4 with obviously-increasing uncertainties and economic slowdowns. Well-developed ecosystem-based business will be expanded with more channels and selected strategic partners, while slowly-developed business will be temporarily repositioned as less- or non-customisable solutions to sell directly.
I attended a seminar by FEB UI featuring Agung Trisetyarso and Fithra Faisal Hariadi. They talked about using quantum methods, like quantum states and Dirac notation, to analyze complex systems in economics and social sciences. It’s a fresh approach that handles uncertainty, interdependence, and multidimensional data, offering new ways to look at decision-making, preferences, and network dynamics. Quantum concepts like superposition (multiple things happening at once) and entanglement (interconnectedness) can model tricky situations, like ambiguous market behaviors or social interdependencies, where traditional methods fall short.
What really caught my interest was how these methods could help manage economic uncertainty and complexity in strategies. They’re great for capturing the nuances of ecosystems and making sense of things like conflicting choices or market volatility. I’m excited to learn more and explore how this could improve strategic planning. More: [URL]
Thanks you Indonesian-style education, we continuously see the decline of book industry including book market in Indonesia. Today I visited Palasari — a book market I used to visit regularly in Bandung. Many kiosques have been closed, leaving an almost empty corridor among the closed doors.
Happily I still found a bookseller I with whom I used to spend my time to talk about books here. His book collection in now limited — made it difficult for me to buy books from him. But I’m happy he’s still healthy, and faithfully runs his business with books here.
One of the activities organised in Indonesia Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 iw a business talk carried out today, with an actually exciting topics: Telkom Digital — From Siloes to Ecosystem Platform: Simplifying Digitally-Connected Logistics Ecosystem.
The talk presented yours truly as the clumsy moderator, and the excellent speakers: Mr Saiful Hidayat and Mr Natal Iman Ginting from Telkom Indonesia, Mr Norman Defryzal from Bank Mandiri, Mr Gemilang Tarigan from Aptrindo, and Takao Omori-san the Presdir of NPCT1.
Imagine — Focus — Action. Those key behaviours are written — firm & clear — on the wall of the shooting arena. This morning we learn our prominent practices to be the winner here. The instructions are clear: set your imagination as a winner, put focus on your target, and once you’re there … with no doubt …. with confidence & only confidence to your commitment & competence …. action! Timely! No doubt!
And the winner this morning is yours truly. Thank you, everybody.
