The halbil of The New Avengers
A BOD-level convo today between BGR’s Indra Iliana and Telkom’s Fajrin Rasyid, talking about the commitment for digitally-enabled logistics ecosystem development, where Telkom’s digital power will be used to develop the core platform, and BGR’s long experience in logistics operation will be advanced with the platform to enhance the logistics industry in Indonesia.

Agricultural transformation is a great technological and business opportunities with huge challenges and risks, requiring strategic-level collaboration or alliance in aggregating the capabilities, resources, while sharing the business risks that may occur.
Scala, a Japanese digital enterprise aiming to enhance the prosperity of mankind through digital technology development, has requested since last year to be the strategic partner of Telkom Indonesia in developing digital platform-based agricultural business transformation. We have spent months — days and nights — to discuss the aspects of technology development, business arrangement, ecosystem empowerment, etc for this strategic alliance preparation. Today, 1 April 2024, the representative of Scala BOD has signed the Agreement with EVP of Telkom’s Digital Business & Technology.
After the signing, we will follow up the agreement with some piloting (also in Leadership Transformation called the quick-wins) as a foundation for the collaborative transformation framework. We’ll see in the next months.
IMT-GT SPM (Strategic Planning Meeting) 2024 is currently carried out in Jakarta, 23–25 March 2024. Leveraging regional economy through digital transformation and ecosystem-based strategy is still the main theme of the discussion. Representing Telkom Indonesia, we put our focus on cross-border MSME products transaction and delivery, expecting to design a pilot with different treatment in custom, logistics, and payment policies & best-practices, to be replicated wider after its initial piloting success.
Some pictures after the meeting on Sunday afernoon:
BBI in Bengkulu province was one of almost the last event carried out in 2023 — just 1 day before the harvesting session of BBI in Jakarta.
I landed in Bengkulu in a clear weather on Friday (Nov 17th). Arrived at the Mercure Hotel, I attended BRIEF — and economic forum prepared for national & global investor to leverage the economy of Bengkulu.
BBI was carried out on Saturday night (Nov 18th), presenting the Governor of Bengkulu who also celebrated the anniversary of the Bengkulu province, and some big cheeses from Jakarta.
Telkom displayed the way to support SME commerce using Metanesia — the last we would do for BBI.
There was only less than one day than to reach Jakarta to help the preparation of BBI DKI Jakarta in Kota Tua. But that’s another story.
After providing some training session to DSS (SOE Services Division of Telkom Indonesia), the Synergy team paid a visit to Logee Warehouse in southern part of Bandung.
This hub is a part of Logee’s piloting as a Digital 4PL Services aims as the logistics industry digital-orchestrator in Indonesia. Logee itself is positioned as a platform to aggregate, orchestrate, and improve the efficiency of logistics services & business in the region.
After the internal pilot, Logee will maximise the use of external capabilities in logistics industry, by strategic collaborations with SOEs in logistics industry, logistics users, financing services, etc.

Welcome to Tegal Mas Island in Lampung Province. Here we were attending the June edition of Gernas BBI, organised by Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian top brands, including Telkom Indonesia.
This event was attended by Coord Minister of Maritime & Investment, Mr Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, as the key speaker.
The main event here — at least for me personally — was the Coordinative Meeting (Rakor) of P3DN program, also led by Mr Luhut. Here Telkom got more roles in the nationwide P3DN program, after proving our commitment to the program in the last months. We’ll talk about it later, but not here. This is not my main blog, anyway :).
On the Garuda flight home, I got a seat just beside Mr Sudarto, the Advisor of the Minister of Finance. We spent about 30 minutes of the flight between Lampung and Jakarta on the continuation of this program; and the sustainability of the program in general.
The third P3DN Business Matching was carried out at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, 30-31 May 2022. The lead of this program is the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, led by the General Secretary, Mr Mohammad Zainal Fatah. He was my mentor in 1990s, but unfortunately we were very busy during this event so we could not talk to each other.
Telkom got involved not only as a potential buyer (as a SOE), but also as a provider to offer import-substitution products to Ministries, Institutions, Local Govts, and other SOEs. Besides the business negotiation, we also set a booth displaying digital products, services, and solutions for government & communities.
We also reported Telkom’s progress to all the P3DN programs (platform integration, MSME build up, MSME listing to the e-Catalog, SOE domestic product purchasing leverage, etc) to Mr Odo Manuhutu, the Deputy of Tourism & Creative Economy Coordination, Kemkomarves. Kemkomarves is the coordinator of all the BBI & P3DN program; reporting directly to the President of Indonesia.
Bukittinggi is a small historical and cultural city in West Sumatra province. It was once appointed as the provisional capital of Indonesia when the criminal armed forces of the Netherlands occupied Yogyakarta (i.e. also the provisional capital of Indonesia). The elegant city is located amidst Bukit Barisan mountain, just between Mt Marapi dan Mt Singgalang — giving it a perfect weather, at least for me.
Bukittinggi hosted BBI this month, organised by OJK. It was a special BBI event, since it was attended by the Vice President of Indonesia, and it hosted the launch of the awaited BBI Virtual Expo, designed and provided by Telkom.
The event was carried out at the courtyard of Jam Gadang — the famous clock tower of Bukittinggi.
