Bunda Heart Centre

A short visit doday to Bunda Heart Centre in the central part of Jakarta to discuss some inexplicable discomfort in my internal circulation — a part of internal supply chain strategic operation.

Playing with the electronic devices, I was reminded to my jokes on the complexity theory in my past lecture in Udayana University, when I jokingly asked that if I got a heart seizure on the very time, I didn’t think any people might help me in that room, even when they know that heart is composed by cells composed by molecules composed by atoms composed by protons and electrons etc, adn the room was full with experts in electrons and protons.

Well, I will not tell you the result here. Not here, for sure.

Inauguration of Prof Ford Lumban Gaol

Prof Ford Lumban Gaol was the Vice Chair when I serves as the Chairman of the IEEE Indonesia Section 2013-2015. He & I also co-lead the IEEE Tensymp 2016 in Bali. Then he experienced a lot as a visiting lecture in Russia and Japan. But today, we celebrate his inauguration as a Professor of Computer Science at the Binus University.

Dr Agnes, Prof Ford, Yours Truly — a reunion of 2013’s cabinet of the IEEE Indonesia Section

The inauguration was led by the Rector of Binus University, Dr. Nelly; and also attended by the Chair of the Senate Prof Harjanto Prabowo. Prof Harjanto mentioned that Prof Ford is the one who established Doctorate Program in Computer Science at Binus University.

As usual, the IEEE gang, i.e. the members of the Advisory Board and Executive Committee plus some other IEEE volunteers attended this inauguration as a special participants. Attended today: Prof Endra, Prof Dadang, Dr Wahidin, Dr Agnes, Mr Satriyo, and surely yours truly.

Serendipitously, I also met Dr Indra Utoyo as one of the speech presented, representing a community in Big Data development.

Dr Indra presented the collaborative innovation in Big Data-focused digital development and its influence to the society.

The ceremony was carried out ½ day, and continued by informal meetings & photo sessions.

BBI Bengkulu

BBI in Bengkulu province was one of almost the last event carried out in 2023 — just 1 day before the harvesting session of BBI in Jakarta.

I landed in Bengkulu in a clear weather on Friday (Nov 17th). Arrived at the Mercure Hotel, I attended BRIEF — and economic forum prepared for national & global investor to leverage the economy of Bengkulu.

BBI was carried out on Saturday night (Nov 18th), presenting the Governor of Bengkulu who also celebrated the anniversary of the Bengkulu province, and some big cheeses from Jakarta.

Telkom displayed the way to support SME commerce using Metanesia — the last we would do for BBI.

There was only less than one day than to reach Jakarta to help the preparation of BBI DKI Jakarta in Kota Tua. But that’s another story.

IEEE Lecture at Udayana University

As a part of the IEEE Indonesia Excom & Adcom coordinative meeting in Bali, we also visit Udayana University, to see the Advanced Research Laboratorium, and also to carry out some sharing session to the academic

But first, surely we met Prof Linawati, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Udayana University. With Prof Lina, we established the IEEE Udayana University Student Branch 10 years ago, in my serving time as the Chairman of the IEEE Indonesia Section at that time, after a discussion at Fortech in Bandung.

This is a weekend lecture, so I just briefly discussed about the development of digital platforms as the core in current technology and business ecosystems. You can read more about this at my other blog: [URL]

And surely I spent a couple minutes to — again — make an introduction to the Complexity Theory. It’s always fun to tell people about this attractive thing.

A Visit to Logee Hub

After providing some training session to DSS (SOE Services Division of Telkom Indonesia), the Synergy team paid a visit to Logee Warehouse in southern part of Bandung.

This hub is a part of Logee’s piloting as a Digital 4PL Services aims as the logistics industry digital-orchestrator in Indonesia. Logee itself is positioned as a platform to aggregate, orchestrate, and improve the efficiency of logistics services & business in the region.

After the internal pilot, Logee will maximise the use of external capabilities in logistics industry, by strategic collaborations with SOEs in logistics industry, logistics users, financing services, etc.
